Podiatrists are a pivotal point of call in foot pain.
Although unfortunately, we often see patients who are in the later stages of pain after failed treatments and reliance on pain relief just to get around. Some foot pain is easy to treat and can be managed easily, where some conditions are complex and present a challenge.
Our two Podiatrists have a combined 32 years of experience in the field of Podiatry, in the NHS and within private practice and are well experienced with foot injury.
If you have pain in your feet, have general foot fatigue or feel that you aren’t walking/moving as well as you used to, book in for an assessment. Everyone and anyone are welcome, and you can refer yourself straight into the clinic, without a note from your GP. We work with anyone from athletes to sedentary individuals, children and the elderly.
We concentrate on the foot and ankle but understand the influence of the rest of the body, areas of the body such as the back, hip or knee could be contributing factors to your foot problem. Similarly, the foot shape and posture could cause symptoms in the upper joints and muscle groups. It is our expertise and experience that helps us recognise the cause of the problems and create a plan to get you back moving comfortably again.
Assessment includes taking a detailed history of you and your presenting problem. Our in-depth assessment will start locally to the pain site to ascertain which areas are being aggravated. We recommend wearing shorts and a loose-fitting top as we will assess the range of movement, muscle strength and posture from head to toe. Please bring in your shoes alongside any insoles you wear so that we can assess the wear and suitability of these for you too.
We also have the industries leading foot scan technology which can assess your standing posture, the mechanics of your walking or running and help create bespoke 3D printed orthotics.
